Oklahoma and Kansas Tornados
During the late afternoon of Monday 03 May 1999, a number of tornados devestated large areas in Oklahoma and Kansas, killing tens of people, injuring hundreds and destroying the homes of thousands.

SATERN is currently providing the much needed "Health and Welfare" communications with these areas.

If you have friends and/or relatives in the affected areas and wish to inquire into their welfare, you can send an e-mail message to SATERN and it will be relayed via Amateur (HAM) Radio to a station in that area.

Please include the following information in your message.

  1. Name(s) of the person(s) about whom you are inquiring.
  2. The last known address and telephone number of this person.
  3. Anything else that might aid in locating this person such as:
    place of employment, school or church attended, etc.
