CLEVELAND, Nov. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The Salvation Army is requesting medical personnel to travel to Honduras to assist with the Disaster Relief Effort taking place along the Mosquito Coast area. We are looking for individuals who have some medical experience and who can assist with the care of victims of the hurricane who are homeless and without any necessities of daily living. The Salvation Army has received the full support of the Honduras government to work in the area, and will be working with the government on rebuilding programs. The second team left Cleveland Hopkins Airport Wednesday morning, and the Army will be sending teams on a weekly basis through February. Teams will stay in the area for a two-week period. Anyone who can make the trip will need a passport and a series of shots prior to making the journey. Call The Salvation Army at 216-623-7411 if you are interested in volunteering to go to assist with this work. Grief Counseling is also needed and individuals with experience are encouraged to call, if they are able to go. The Salvation Army plans to stay in this area and assist with the rebuilding of homes and clinics throughout the Mosquito Coast. Monetary donations are being accepted and are needed for this effort.
