Salvation Army disaster relief personnel continue to assist residents of Fort Worth and Arlington, Texas, in the massive job of recovering from last week's devastating tornado which demolished many homes. Three Salvation Army mobile canteens continue to serve food and beverages to emergency workers and storm-affected residents in hard-hit areas of Fort Worth. In addition, The Salvation Army is operating family assistance centers in Fort Worth and Arlington where residents may receive food, clothing and temporary housing.

Salvation Army relief workers are going door-to-door in Arlington and Fort Worth, distributing plastic trash cans donated by the Rubbermaid Company. Yesterday Salvation Army relief personnel also began going door-to-door in Arlington, distributing cleaning kits to residents whose homes sustained major damage, according to Major Richard Brittle, in charge of The Salvation Army in Tarrant County, Texas.

Many individuals and companies across the metroplex, including the Coca-Cola Company and 7-Eleven Stores, have generously donated food, bottled water and other supplies.
