Fired up the old TS-520SE tonight and my first CW contact on 40 meters was with a Hawaii station AH6NM. Very good! :) The wild thing is that it was 04:55 07 Dec 2007 - Pearl Harbor day! Now that’s cool. Besides, when I was in the Navy I was stationed at Pearl Harbor and operated from KH6SP on the submarine base. Memories. Pictured above is the USS Goldsborough DDG-20 where I was stationed in Pearl Harbor. The best place to catch a few zzzz’s was the lower deck of the repair barge moored in front of the Goldsborough. Nice and cool there next to the AC unit.
