Virginia QSO Party 2007 & N3FJP Software

I’m not really that intense of a contester however I do enjoy participating in them. This contest put my new Icom IC-718 through its paces and worked without a hitch. The new 40 meter dipole performed really well and I got lots of good signal reports during the contest.

On the computer side of things, I’ve found that the N3FJP software works the best for me. I normally download the program in advance of the contest and get it all set up. Then on the day of the contest if I see that I am going to exceed the 30 contacts allowed in the trial version I register the program.

Every time I have done this N3FJP has responded very quickly with the registration number. I heartedly recommend his software. It is very well written and stable.

I am a Mac user, but I run Windows 2000 in VirtualPC so that I can run N3FJP’s software.
